Pathology
Pathology, disease theory, in the broadest sense, the doctrine of the
diseases (disorders). Pathology deals with how various diseases and injuries
change cells and tissues and thus also the function of the tissue, organs and
body. Pathological anatomy is the common denominator of the doctrine of
all the anatomical changes that disease and injury can cause.
Modern pathology also attaches great importance to function and cause
( etiology ), and tries, among other things, using immunohistochemistry, to
investigate the relationship between disrupted function and altered anatomy, and
(using molecular pathology ) to identify any genetic abnormalities in the cells
